Southern Voices’ Christmas concert takes place in St Cross on 17 December at 7.30pm. This will be our conductor’s last concert with us and promises to be a memorable occasion. Music from 13th Century to 2oth (potentially 21st with Simpson), including the German Magnificat from Schütz, O Magnum Mysterium from Lauridsen and various congregational carols. Earth Sea and Sky
Our May 2010 concert is a musical celebration of the works of nature and the creativity of man. We will be singing secular works by composers including Monteverdi, Morten Lauridsen and Eric Whitacre.

Join Southern Voices for a celebration of the wonders of nature and creativity of man in the concert hall setting of St Swithun’s Performing Arts Centre.
The 40-strong choir will present a programme of secular music interspersed with readings inspired by earth, sea and sky. Works will include Vaughan Williams’ Three Shakespeare Songs, a 16 part transcription from Mahler’s Ruckert Lieder, Italian madrigals, English romantic part songs and two stunning and inspirational compositions by contemporary American musician Eric Whitacre – Cloudburst and Leonardo dreams of his flying machine.
